Description
Munden and Arcelus are two child psychiatrists who share a special interest in AD/HD, and who are involved not just in clinical practice, but also in research and training in this field. They therefore have both a theoretical and a practical understanding of the condition, and the AD/HD Handbook benefits considerably from this double expertise. The authors are child and adolescent psychiatrists and the book reflects their medical training and thinking. Yet, unlike some other books based on a medical of disability, the volume does suggest in a number of places that the characteristics of ADHD can, in fact, be strengths rather than deficits in many situations.
