As the titles suggests, this book presents a brief psychotherapeutic approach to working with clients. What it doesn't tell you is that this book reaches way beyond a description of principles and outline of methods and techniques, to provide an easy-to-understand technology for all. Nearly all the techniques here can be used as adjuncts to conventional behaviourist and analytical approaches to therapy including NLP and Gestalt work. As well as describing the art of RCT, the authors have provided the therapist with the means to get started quickly by outlining the structures for the first few sessions as well as giving full scripts for analytical and non-analytical work with the client.This book would be an excellent addition to any ones bookshelf, either new to therapy or an existing practitioner.
