Honor Phillipps was educated at Bedales school, Hampshire, UK and theUniversity of York. She is an enthusiast who has studied and photographedbutterflies over many years both in the UK and in Borneo where she hastravelled widely through Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Kalimantan. She ismarried to Quentin Phillipps, author of Phillipps' Field Guide to the Birdsof Borneo and Phillipps' Field Guide to the Mammals of Borneo
