Author:Vishal Mehta is an entrepreneur whose love for creativity found an unexpected home in children’s literature. Known professionally for his work in the jewellery and luxury industries, Vishal has embarked on a creative writing journey as the co-creator of Lucas the Lizard. This was born out of bedtime rituals with his young son, Avir, who would eagerly request ‘a new story, never told before’ every night. Together, they dreamt up Lucas – an adventurous lizard who discovers his powers through courage, friendship and imagination. For Vishal, this project is both a gift to his son and a way to share universal lessons of growth and resilience with children everywhere. Avir Mehta is the spark behind Lucas the Lizard. A curious and imaginative child, Avir’s nightly requests for original bedtime tales inspired his father to create a world filled with magic, discovery and adventure. With his wide-eyed wonder and playful questions, Avir has shaped Lucas’s journey at every turn, borrowing heavily from his personal experiences. For him, the stories are not just entertainment but an adventure he shares with his dad and a reminder that every child holds the power to dream big and find magic in the everyday.Illustrator:Andrew McIntosh is a freelance digital illustrator from Melbourne, Australia. He has illustrated over 30 children’s books, book covers, websites, logos, promotional posters, and stamps. Ever since Andrew can remember, he has had a pencil and paper on hand. He started his artistic career in the video games industry focusing on Pixel art, 3D modelling and UI design.
