Author:Jenny is based in Melbourne, Australia and has been lucky to teach in primary schools both in Australia and overseas, specialising in early literacy and school librarianship. In 2017, she was awarded second place in the Churchill & District News Open Adult Short Story competition for her story Powder Blue. She has also had journals published by: The Australian Review, Scholastic, Australian School Library Association and more. She lives on small property on the outskirts of suburbia, with some bush, a nearby creek, chooks and a writing studio (built by her partner Patrick). They have two children and five grandchildren and recently, two puppies. Illustrator:Before completing her teaching degree, Lara studied Studio Arts at University, majoring in ceramics. She also undertook painting, drawing, sculptor, and glass. She travelled extensively as a child and young adult, visiting and living in third world countries. She is passionate about sustainability and believes that education is key. She works part-time as a primary school teacher and has four daughters ranging in ages from two years old to thirteen.
