Author:Kimberley Stuart is a librarian and musicologist with a PhD in music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Sydney. Kimy Rose and The Land of the Rose Gardens is her first children’s book with hopefully more titles to come. Kimy Rose is a character based on Kimberley herself as a child. Kimberley started writing this book when she was working as a children’s librarian and her Dad went into an aged care facility to be cared for due to his increasing dementia. She has written her book to help children understand dementia, especially if they have loved ones who are impacted by it. Kimberley loves music, painting, books, and visits to galleries and libraries. She hopes her book can encourage children to enjoy the little things in life.Illustrator:Vicky Wong is a Taiwanese Australian artist who has a passion for art and illustration.
