While raising four children and teaching primary school, she has crafted several vibrant and imaginative stories for young readers. Her debut picture storybook, A Winter’s Kiss, draws inspiration from her snowy-mountain childhood and is followed by the enchanting The Collector. Heidi and her family now divide their time between Melbourne and Mt Buller, embracing the best of city life and alpine adventures. When she’s not working or writing, Heidi can often be found enjoying mountain picnics, river swims, sandy shores, or carving tracks in fresh snow. Deeply passionate about shaping young minds, Naya strives to create stories and illustrations that spark joy and inspire new ways of seeing the world. In her spare time, she teaches children to unleash their imaginations through drawing, fostering creativity from an early age.
