For the past eight years she has worked in various not-for-profit organisations, which support children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Working with and supporting these families was the inspiration for her book. Jemma has grown up with a love for reading, which was instilled in her by her mother and is something she hopes to pass on to her own daughters.Illustrator:Amy Jacinta is an illustrator based in the Adelaide Hills. Since graduating a Bachelor of Illustration and Design from University of South Australia she works in a range of picture making processes including soft pastel, colour pencil, watercolour and woodcut, and often combines traditional media with digital collage.
