Lorna Elisei believes that even the smallest acts of kindness can ripple outward to create meaningful change. Inspired by her rescue cat, Howie, she created Howie’s Kindness Club to gently encourage children to explore empathy, compassion and friendship through heartfelt stories. She hopes every child who meets Howie, feels inspired to share kindness with each other, with animals, and with the world around them. Lorna is also the founder of Evolve Kindly, a platform dedicated to inspiring kindness and conscious living through everyday actions. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband and Howie, where life’s happiest moments are often the simplest—walks by the bay, playful afternoons together and plenty of purrs.

Julia Dietrich is a German-born children’s book illustrator living on Australia’s sunny Central Coast with her husband and four wonderfully energetic kids. A self-taught artist with a background in graphic design, she loves creating charming, expressive illustrations that capture the joy and imagination of childhood. When Julia is not in the studio, you’ll often find her out on a run or walk, exploring the coastline and gathering inspiration from nature.
