Description

Author:

Faeza Samnakay is an Exclusive Educator with 20 years of experience working in schools, coordination services, and consultancy in the therapy space. She is a passionate advocate for disability inclusion as well as linguistically diverse organisations that support the empowerment of marginalised women and children. She has written this book to honour the influences that shaped her early childhood and hopes it inspires deeper family bonds.

Illustrator:

Sam B is an Australian digital artist from Canberra. His boldly lined, saturated art style seeks to invoke nostalgia for various traditional printmaking techniques of the past while utilising the wider palette of options a contemporary art program can provide. Sam worked closely with Faeza to authentically represent her family’s cultural background. After drawing extensively for online clients, this is his first children’s picture book.
