Kat is a Sydney born writer that has always loved reading, forever with a book by her bed and her reading lamp on longer than her set bedtime. Kat studied Media at University then met her husband, former professional footballer Zenon Caravella. Together they travelled the world and raised their three children (Sienna, Vida and Zavi) while Zenon played and coached. Between running the family business and running her kids around - leaving no time for actual running for exercise (not that she’d want to - she hates to break a sweat), Kat writes stories for children. Emma specialises in children's book illustration, but has also worked in advertising, the public realm, editorial and design, and still exhibits her work regularly. Emma primarily uses watercolours, but also acrylics, oils, pen and ink, and pencil. Her characters are full of life and light hearted. Emma work spans a range of genres and styles, from highly detailed realism to simple character based illustration.
