Description

Gresilda A. Tilley-Lubbs, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Social Foundations in the School of Education, Virginia Tech. Her work questions the role of researcher/teacher power and privilege in vulnerable Spanish-speaking communities. She uses alternative literary genres, including narrative and poetry, to communicate the results of her qualitative research. She has published books, articles, and book chapters, in both English and Spanish. Her most recent published book is Re-Assembly Required: Critical Autoethnography and Spiritual Discovery. She is currently conducting research in Spain for a critical autoethnography of her perspectives as a student studying in Spain during Franco's dictatorship following the Spanish Civil War.
