Dharamsing Teron is the Director of the Centre for Karbi Studies, Diphu, KarbiAnglong, Assam. In 2015, he established the Centre for Karbi Studies (CKS), a research organization consisting of young students and re?searchers. He has published several books and articles on the Karbis. He received an honorary doctorate from Gauhati University in 2022 for his outstanding contributions to Karbi folklore study. Recently, the American Folklore Society (AFS) honored him with the renowned David Project Pathway-2023 International Award for his significant contributions to Karbi folklore. Vulli Dhanaraju is a Professor in the Department of History at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong. He obtained his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in the Department of History from the University of Hyderabad. He has written and edited several books on tribes and other marginalised communities, including Karbis. Currently, he is associating with Dr. Dharamsing Teron, Director, Centre for Karbis Studies, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam to document the Karbi history and philosophy.
