Description
"In the grand, sweeping tradition of early twentieth century Continental theorists like Adorno and Merleau-Ponty, Mohsen Janatpour's Conjunctive Theory: Mental Imagery in the Arts and Sciences offers a lively and provocative deep dive into the perception of beauty, and the beauty of perception. Gracefully interweaving physiology and aesthetics, conveyed through personal yet rigorous language, Conjunctive Theory holds special appeal for both STEM geeks and STEAM hipsters." David Laderman, Professor of Film, College of San Mateo, Author of Driving Visions: Exploring the Road Movie and Punk Slash! Musicals: Tracking Slip-Sync on Film
