Kim Singleton is a filmmaker, writer, and poet. She earned a BS from Howard University and an MBA from NYU, Stern School of Business, forging a twenty-year career in media. Singleton's love for the arts led her to study at Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center, Gotham Writers Workshop, and African Voices Writers Workshop. Singleton is the executive producer and host of the online program Consider It Blacklit, winner of the Public Media Award of Excellence in 2018 and 2019 and three Brooklyn Free Speech Awards in 2023. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a former international president of the Howard University Alumni Association. Singleton lives in New York City. Kim Holt is an award-winning narrative artist and children's book illustrator living in Maryland. Her art, brought to life by her distinctive, vibrant style, is an ode to her family, friends, and community. She lives with her husband and two dogs Sugar and Spice, drinks copious amounts of coffee, and cooks imaginative dinners for her family.
