Reviews
"I love this book. I love that its author is a creative, insightful, and honest person. I love that it emerged from a tough time in the authors life. I love its tone (friendly, gentle, inviting) and its depth (intelligent, well-researched, yet accessible to all). And I love its subject, because curiosity (rather than certainty or control) is the key to so many of the best things in life, including spiritual growth and personal freedom, as you will discover in Sacred Curiosity." --Brian McLaren, author of Faith After Doubt and The Last Voyage
"Wow, what a powerful invitation to wonder and wander our way through the beautiful chaos of life and the world. Curiosity has always been one of my favorite lenses of faith, but Lee has given it new flesh, depth, and texture for my journey going forth--and I have no doubt will do the same for you." --Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow, activist and author of In Defense of Kindness and Everything Good about God Is True
"With wonder, awe, and a bit of holy mischief, Britney Winn Lee begs the reader to pull up a seat on the banks of the bayou and embrace the grace of curiosity. A fellow sojourner, she shows the rest of us how to ask questions, hunker down in the glory of the everyday, and embrace a necessary, soulful rewilding. Sacred Curiosity is for the storytellers, the history-makers, the prophets, the troublemakers, and all who stoke holy fires of marvel along the way." --Cara Meredith, author of Church Camp and The Color of Life
"Britney Winn Lees Sacred Curiosity is a timely, grace-filled invitation to trade our addiction to certainty for the holy work of wondering. With tenderness, honesty, and a storytellers gift, she shows how curiosity, approached as both practice and posture, can disarm fear, bridge divides, and open us to transformation. In a world quick to judge and slow to listen, this book reminds us that awe is accessible, questions are holy, and wonder might just be the most faithful way forward." --Matt Rawle, author of The Redemption of Scrooge, The Grace of Les Miserables, and other books, pastor, and co-founder of the Hub for Innovation
"Brittany Winn Lee doesnt just write about curiosity--she lives it in the raw, messy, beautiful places where life can leave us breathless. In Sacred Curiosity, she tells the truth about pain and loss, but also about the wonder that sneaks in when we least expect it. Her words reminded the reader that even when the world feels gray, God gives us breadcrumbs of grace to follow. This book is an invitation to open your eyes wide, ask one more question, and discover that color and hope are still out there. You dont want to miss this one." --Rachel Billups, author of An Unlikely Advent and Be Bold: Finding Your Fierce, pastor, and co-founder of the Hub for Innovation
