Ella Law enjoyed a highly successful career in children's publishing, commissioning a host of bestselling authors and illustrators, before becoming a prolific children's book author herself. She has also been involved in the development of several animation series and is the co-creator of the award-winning preschool series Fetch the Vet, which was broadcast in more than thirty countries.Ella gets most of her ideas on daily walks in the countryside. When not writing, she experiments with recipes (with varying degrees of success) and dreams about her next travel adventure. Alex Aldrich Barrett is an illustrator and animator from Philadelphia, currently living in Los Angeles. She studied painting and printmaking at The Cooper Union in New York. In no particular order, she loves plants, animals, unfinished drawings, scary movies, old animation pencil tests, mornings before the sun comes up, seven-minute eggs, tea, and toast. She has never stopped reading children's books.
