Diane Mittler is a picture book author who draws inspiration from her experiences with a mobility impairment. A retired educator and charter school founder, Diane's enthusiasm and love of learning drive her creation of empowering, uplifting works that raise awareness about diversity, encourage creativity and problem-solving, and celebrate relationships. Diane lives in the high desert of northern New Mexico, where she enjoys nature photography and exploring with her husband, on the off-road electric bike he designed and built for her. Andrea Altamirano is an artist from sunny Central America, sharing stories in several fields from children's books to murals, product design, and animation. Andrea has worked on several projects for organizations promoting Human Rights like UNDP, Manuales para Sobrevivir, and Cristosal. She was selected as an illustrator for the Society of Illustrators 63rd Anniversary exhibit (2020) and as a team at the Ibero-American Design Biennial (2022).
