Kushida, M.D., Ph.D., is Chief and Medical Director of the Division of Sleep Medicine, and a Professor and Associate Chair-Sleep Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, California. He has conducted basic and clinical sleep research since 1977 and served as Inaugural President of the World Sleep Society, Founding President of the California Sleep Society, and Past President of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, World Sleep Federation, and Associated Professional Sleep Societies Board of Directors. Laura Weiss Roberts, M.D., M.A., is the Chairman and Katharine Dexter McCormick and Stanley McCormick Memorial Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California.
